The Reserve Forces Day 2018 TV and Radio Community Service Announcements are now able to be viewed below. Here is the narrator’s script.
In 1918 Lieutenant General Sir John Monash, a reservist officer led the newly formed Australian corps of the five Australian Divisions in successful battles fought at Le Hamel 4 July and Amiens 8 August. These battles brought the war to an early conclusion and saved thousands of Australian lives. I encourage serving and former reservists to march with pride in the 20th anniversary of reserve forces national parade in sydney and in other centres throughout Australia the 1st of July. I ask the public to support them by attending this significant event.
