Reserve Forces Day 2016

National Parade Sydney 2016 go to top of page

Sydney turned on its very best winter weather for the National Parade on 3 July 2016. The setting was magnificent, before the War Memorial and around the pool of remembrance, Hyde Park.

The drill had been well rehearsed and came over rather well given the average age of the participants. The Light Horse added colour, precision and an historical perspective; the Air Force Cadets did very well and His Excellency the Governor gave a quality targeted speech.

Our Parade at Wondai, in spite of it being bare bones, was the success it was made to be in spite of the obstacles placed in the way and there were a few of them.

Arrangements are in hand for 2017.
